Founded in 2002, BookHaven began with a simple mission: to create a welcoming space where book lovers could discover new worlds through reading. What started as a small corner shop with a carefully curated selection of classics has grown into a beloved community institution offering thousands of titles across all genres.
Our founder, Elizabeth Morgan, a lifelong bibliophile with a background in literature and education, envisioned a bookstore that would not only sell books but also foster a love of reading and learning in the community. More than two decades later, that vision continues to guide everything we do at BookHaven.
Today, we're proud to be an independent bookstore that has weathered the digital revolution while maintaining our commitment to personal service and community engagement. We believe in the power of books to transform lives, spark imaginations, and bring people together.
We believe everyone deserves access to books and the opportunity to develop a love of reading. We actively support literacy programs in our community and donate books to schools and libraries.
More than just a retail space, we strive to be a gathering place where ideas are exchanged, stories are shared, and relationships are formed. Our events calendar reflects our commitment to bringing people together.
We are committed to offering books that represent a wide range of voices, experiences, and viewpoints. We believe that literature should reflect the rich diversity of our world and help readers develop empathy and understanding.
We pride ourselves on knowing our customers and providing personalized recommendations. Our staff are avid readers themselves, always ready to help you find your next favorite book.
